Ten12 works in the underground
We are in the 10/40 Window which is often called "The Resistant Belt". Our serving country has over 23% of the world’s population and only 2% consider themselves Christian. The majority of the people are nonreligious. Buddhism and ethnic religions make up 40% of the religious population; the rest of the population falls into the category of Atheism. It is not illegal to be a Christian as long as you are a member of the state church. The country has an official Christian church. However, it is ran and censored by the government. Any Christian formation outside of the state church (underground fellowships) are illegal. We live in a world that is dominated by an absence of authentic Christianity. The majority of the world’s population cannot worship freely. It is not our mission to end oppression. It is our mission to glorify, strengthen and disciple in the midst of oppression and persecution. We are called to bring hope, love radically and serve boldly.

Leadership Development Leadership development and training is another aspect of ministry that we focus deeply on. This ministry includes people who have been believers for a considerable amount of time. They desire to grow personally and grow into leaders in their fellowships, homes and communities. They want to learn how to disciple others. Local culture limits our friends from understanding how to communicate effectively sometimes; therefore, leadership training is based on healthy relationships, self-worth and our call to be missional
Women's Discipleship
Women’s Leadership Group covers interpersonal issues with women who are leading in their fellowships. The goal is to provide them with effective tools to lead others to Christ while continuing to mature in their faith. These women meet on a weekly basis. They study, keep each other accountable and learn to live in their identities in Christ. Men's Discipleship
In a male dominated, honor/ shame culture; Ten12 is focusing on making men bold about the gospel and devoted followers of Christ. Men are learning that they can have healthier marriages when their soul is healthy. They can be better father's when they are better disciples. Pastoral Training
Another aspect of the leadership development is Pastor’s Training. The pastors in the local fellowships desire a knowledge of leadership and ways they can minister to their local congregations. Ten12 develops relationships with these pastors and offers learning tools to help deal with issues within their local congregations and enables them to minister more effectively to their people. Agape Meals
When we open up the gospel stories we often find Jesus is either at a meal, going to a meal or coming from a meal. It wasn’t because Jesus loved to eat, rather He loved people and meals bring people together. Agape Meals are a time when we focus on non-believers. Individuals that have been attending various groups we host throughout the week that are not believers are invited to our home. We focus on a time of just learning more about our local friends and what they know about the gospel. We are able to more intimately open our home for a meal and share about our family and our beliefs. This is a great opportunity to build relationships and share and just do life together, which we have found is one of the greatest tools for ministering and showing God's love |
